FORBES: Trump May Not Propose Budget Next Year To Avoid Criticism

President-Elect Would Be 1st In 40 Years To Shirk Duty

Forbes is reporting that President-elect Donald Trump is “seriously thinking about” not submitting a budget to Congress next year to avoid complaints from those his proposals would harm.

“No proposals on paper would mean nothing to disparage,” Stan Collender reports.

It would make the first time in 40 years, since the Congressional Budget Act was passed, that an incoming president hasn’t submitted some sort of proposal to Congress.

The Act requires the president to submit a budget between Jan. 2 and Feb. 6, but Trump could claim it was outgoing President Barack Obama’s responsibility.
