Is The FBI Out of Control?
The official and verified Twitter account of the FBI Records Vault has not posted a tweet since October 8, 2015 – until Sunday, when it posted what appears to be the FBI’s file on Fred Trump, Donald Trump’s father.
Over the past few days that Twitter account has posted what appear to be FBI files on Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton and Marc Rich, and the William J. Clinton Foundation, along with some odd documents.
Vox appears to have been the first to report on this development, writing, “Someone at the FBI thought it was a good time to remind the public of a 15-year-old Clinton scandal,” and adding: “The document dump doesn’t include the investigators’ conclusion that the Clintons hadn’t broken any laws.”
That “scandal” was about a pardon President Bill Clinton gave to Marc Rich.
It’s entirely unclear why and under what circumstances these files would be posted, or if they were publicly available prior to them being linked to via Twitter.
One guess would be someone inside the FBI went “rogue,” after Director Comey’s letter to Congress Friday, and for whatever reason decided to release these files.Â
Whatever the reason, again, so close to an election, it seems clear the FBI is out of control, given the leaks from inside the Bureau over the past few weeks, and now this.
Some might liken this to Director Comey’s letter to Congress this past Friday, showing the FBI appears to be attempting to influence the election, in favor of Donald Trump.
