WATCH: NEW – Keith Olbermann’s ‘The Resistance’ Slams Media for ‘Pretending This Isn’t Abnormal’

Second Episode of New Daily Series Urges Americans to Not Accept Trump’s Unacceptable Acts as ‘Normal’

Keith Olbermann in episode two of “The Resistance,” his new daily web broadcast (episode one here), slams the media for pretending that what’s happened since Donald Trump was elected is normal, and urges Americans to resist (hence the name of the series) the idea that it is.

“At the Pussy-Grabber-in-Chief’s victory party a woman named Omarosa Manigault, who was briefly on television,” Olbermann charged, “said of people who did not vote for him, ‘I would never judge anybody for exercising their right to and the freedom to choose who they want. But let me just tell you, Mr. Trump has a long memory and we’re keeping a list.'”

A visibly angered Olbermann responded to that quote, saying, “We have to pretend that isn’t abnormal.”

Olbermann continues, noting Trump’s newly appointed top advisor and chief strategist, Steve Bannon, has “a track record a mile long of antipathy to women and Black people.”

Growing even more angry (and should we all be?) Olbermann moves forward, wondering if Trump “is going to shatter all precedent” and “become personally involved in the prosecution” of Hillary Clinton. “all of a sudden the media is pretending that this isn’t abnormal.”

He points out that Trump is saying the decision to prosecute Hillary Clinton is his (it’s not, legally) and will be based on how he feels about her. “And now we all have to pretend that this isn’t abnormal.”

Then there’s Kellyanne Conway’s threat (quote below) that the campaign, or Trump, might sue Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, who actually didn’t pretend any of this is normal when he issued a scathing statement against Trump.

He blasts CNN for pretending that criticism of Trump and a threat against the First Amendment are equivalent.

Olbermann goes on to list other problems with Trump’s actions that “we have to pretend” are normal.

“We have to pretend Giuliani isn’t an international political whore, who hasn’t taken money from repressive elements everywhere from Qatar to El Salvador, and who’s now consulting Uber.”

Olbermann calls for boycotts against corporations that are supporting members of Truymp’s regime, like Uber. Boycott corporations that advertise on conspiracy theorist radio host Alex Jones, who worked tirelessly to get Trump elected.

“Call the President of News, or his boss,” Olbermann urges, when you see the media normalizing what Trump and his team are doing.

He urges Americans to make companies like New Balance “go bankrupt.”

And Olbermann says Americans should always refer to the fact that Trump lost the popular vote.
