WATCH: Keith Olbermann Says Donald Trump Is ‘Insane and Cannot Assume Office’

‘This Is an Existential Threat to the United States of America’

Donald Trump is insane. That’s the latest conclusion from Keith Olbermann, GQ’s Special Correspondent and host of the web commentary series, “The Resistance.” Known for his controversial statements, Olbermann was the voice of sanity to many during the George W. Bush years when he hosted “Countdown” on MSNBC, and he’s back assuming that mantle – online – again.

“We still await the first serious, sober discussion in our nation’s media about the exact dimensions of and the exact nature of Mr. Trump’s desperate psychological impairment,” Olbermann announces in his latest episode.

“This is an existential threat to the United States of America. The president-elect, Donald Trump, is manifestly, profoundly, and dangerously psychologically imbalanced,” Olbermann insists. “The sooner we acknowledge this, the greater the chances we have of averting a disaster, which could threaten the safety of every American, indeed, of everybody on this planet.”

He goes on to call Trump’s growing administration and advisors “enablers to a cataclysm.”

Olbermann uses Trump’s recent tweets as examples of the president-elect’s psychological imbalance, saying a sane person would not post a tweet calling for unity on a Wednesday, then post a tweet stating he would have won the popular vote in a landslide had millions not voted illegally – all of which Trump did over the past week.

“These are not words of sanity!” Olbermann announced. “These are the rages and the boasts and the madness that we have seen throughout history – Saddam Hussein, Mussolini, Fidel Castro, Mao Tse-tung, Stalin, Pol Pot, bin Laden, Hitler,” Olbermann said, comparing Trump to some of modern political history’s most dangerous dictators and terrorists.
