WATCH: Donald Trump Is Shocked – Shocked! – to Hear of Nationwide Hate Crimes in His Name

Takes Zero Responsibility But Tells Supporters to ‘Stop It’

Donald Trump says he’s “very surprised” to hear that there are hundreds of reports across the nation detailing how his supporters are attacking children, women, Hispanics, Muslims, LGBT people, and other minorities, all in his name.

“I hate to hear that,” the president-elect told CBS News’ Leslie Stahl in a “60 Minutes” interview that aired Sunday evening. “So saddened to hear that, and I say, stop it!” Trump declared. He added, “if it helps, I’ll say it right into the camera: Stop it.”

Trump then proceeded to discuss his plans to deport 2 to 3 million undocumented immigrants – immediately.

The president-elect could have followed up on Twitter, where many of his far-right supporters hang out, but he chose not to. He could have issued a statement, but he chose not to.

That Trump spends so much time on social media, for him to turn around and claim he is oblivious to the hundreds of cases of hate speech and attacks being perpetrated in his name over just the first few days since he was elected is stunning.
