Trump Tweets He Has No Intention of Putting Assets in Blind Trust

Least Transparent President Ever – America Still Waiting to See His Taxes

As president-elect, Donald Trump’s audacity continues to reach new heights. Two weeks ago was Election Day, and since being declared the winner he has flouted nearly ever convention. From naming a white nationalist to be his chief strategist and senior advisor, to naming a known racist to be Attorney General, to naming as his national security adviser a man who tweeted that “Fear of Muslims is RATIONAL,” to holding his first meeting with a foreign head of state with the prime minister of Japan – instead of England or another British nation, then including is daughter and son-in-law in that meeting.

Then here are the near-daily leaks about cabinet and high-level appointments, as he parades them in front of the media as if it were “Celebrity Apprentice,” as he holds a meeting with the heads of major networks and blasts them for their coverage of him, and al that’s just for starters – there’s a lot more.

But now, his latest, this tweet:

Trump has just effectively said he has no intention of putting his assets in a blind trust, mush lest divesting himself of them.

This cannot stand.

Trump, since winning the election has already been caught asking the president of Argentina to authorize permits on a stalled Trump construction project in that country, and asking a member of the British government to ban a wind farm near one of his golf courses because he fears it would be unattractive and reduce the value of his property. And he met with businessmen from India to discuss properties in that country just days ago.

In other words, he’s not even president and he is using the power of his office for personal financial gain – exactly what he falsely charged Hillary Clinton of doing.

Let’s not forget that Trump still has not shared his tax returns with the American people.

Let’s not forget that Trump promised to put his assets in a blind trust, then claimed he wouldn’t have anything to do with Trump businesses, and his children would be in charge.

Right wing pundit David Frum was quick to denounce Trump’s tweet – and intentions Tuesday morning:

As did others of note, via Twitter:
