Trump Aides Suggest Millions Of Anti-Trump Protesters Are Paid Professionals

Kellyanne Conway Calls On Obama, Clinton To Calm Supporters

Two top Donald Trump advisers, Rudy Giuliani and Kellyanne Conway, suggested Sunday that the millions of Americans who’ve taken to the streets to protest the president-elect are paid professionals.

Appearing on Fox News Sunday, Conway suggested that if Trump had lost, and his supporters were protesting, “people’s heads would be exploding.” She added that the protesters “have a responsibility” to “recognize that regardless of what they say, quote, ‘He is their president.'”

“I think that the president of the United States, Secretary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, perhaps, others can come forward and ask for calm and ask for a peaceful transition and ask their supporters, which are masquerading as protesters now — many of them professional and paid by the way, I’m sure — ask them to give this man a chance so that this country can flourish,” Conway said.

On ABC’s This Week, Giuliani said he doesn’t believe the protesters even support Democrat Hillary Clinton or President Barack Obama.

“I think these people are, you know, kind of like, professional protesters,” Giuliani said.

“All those protesters in all those cities professionals?” host George Stephanopoulos responded.

“Well, yes, you gather a certain number of people around you but, you know … they didn’t look to me like who people who were, you know, studying political science and were all upset about the ideology of the election,” Giuliani said.
