‘Day 1 In Trump’s America’

Incidents of hate against minorities in the wake of Donald Trump being elected president are so pervasive and extensive – not to mention disgusting and frightening – that they’ve been made into a collection of Twitter “Moments” by the editor of Genius, Insanul Ahmed.

This is truly Trump’s America. This is proof. This is disgusting.

We cannot allow this to continue. 

Yesterday we showed you one of a note left on a car that reads:

“Can’t wait until your ‘marriage’ is overturned by a real president. Gay families = burn in hell. #Trump 2016. #REPENT #GODBLESS”

And there’s more.

For example, here’s a student who says “This white boy told me I’m a Nigger and should be pickin cotton.” The teacher is escorting him out. Not the student who made the racist comment, but the target of it.

Or, this frightening story. It got so bad the principal had to hold an assembly to tell students this is not OK:

A lot of stories of Muslim women so afraid of what will happen to them they’re being forced to not practice a basic element of their faith:

There are no words for this one at all. None.

And imagine seeing this on campus:

Yes, this is Trump’s America. He won’t denounce it, and even if he did it wouldn’t stop.

This is frightening. Truly frightening, and maybe the worst part is much of it seems to be happening mostly to young people.
