“Thanks, Louis C.K.—But It’s ‘Madam’ Tough Mother”

Louis C.K. has endorsed Hillary Clinton, saying he would choose the former secretary of state over any other candidate, regardless of who’s running. The six-time Emmy Award winning comedian told Conan O’Brien Tuesday night that one of the reasons he supports Clinton is she is a mother who “takes care of shit.”

Hillary Clinton responded via Twitter Wednesday afternoon, tweeting the video and, tongue in cheek saying, “Thanks, Louis C.K.—but it’s ‘Madam’ Tough Mother.”

Lamenting that for 240 years American has had fathers, in the Oval Office – “bald father, fat father, every kind of father” – the 49-year old father himself shared that he’s looking forward to not a woman president but a mother president.

“I think she’s great. I think she’s really talented, and I think she’s super smart, and I’d take her over anybody that would do it,” C.K. said.

“It’s not about the first woman, it’s about the first mom,” he added. “A mother, she’s got it. A mother just does it. She feeds you and teaches you, she protects you. She takes care of shit.”

“I don’t want somebody who’s likable or cool anymore,” he continued. “We need a two-faced, conniving, crazy, just somebody who’s just got a million schemes,” C.K. quipped. “We need just a tough, bitch mother who nobody likes, who just does the shit.”

Saying that whenever Donald trump is criticized, “everything stops and he makes everybody pay,” the comedian offered: “That’s not how it works. We need somebody who can take abuse. Hillary Clinton can take abuse.”

“She’s been taking it and taking it. This is what’s been going on. We’ve been hazing her. We’ve been holding her down and spitting in her mouth, and yelling at her, and she just gets up and keeps working, so I’m totally for her,” he said, to the talk show host who seemed to grow a bit uncomfortable.

He also said it’s OK if someone votes for Trump, “if that’s your ideology,” but to liberals and Democrats he offered a strong message.

“If you’re a liberal who’s not going to vote, you’re a piece of ____,” and mocked those who say they just don’t like something about her. “Grow up!” he said.

“If you vote for Hillary, you’re a grown-up. If you vote for Trump, you’re a sucker. If you don’t vote for anybody, you’re an asshole.”
