New Jersey Governor Now Persona Non GrataÂ
Chris Christie is out of favor entirely at Trump transition headquarters. The New Jersey governor was appointed by Trump to lead the transition team but effective immediately the Bridgegate baron’s role has been taken away and Mike Pence is now in charge.
“The president-elect told advisers he wanted to tap Mr. Pence’s Washington experience and contacts to help move the process along, according to people familiar with the discussions. An executive committee, which will include members of Congress, will advise Mr. Pence as the process moves forward,” The New York Times just reported.
In other words, what “drain the swamp” actually meant was “drain the swamp so we can scoop up the bottom of the barrel and hire them.”Â
Trump was literally elected because he is supposedly an outsider (which is nonsense, he’s a billionaire with ties to Washington and all around the world.) He’s now ensuring long-time Washington Republicans have a new home: the White House.
