REPORT: Ben Carson’s Spokesperson Says Neurosurgeon Has Accepted Nomination to Be Secretary of HUD
Donald Trump Apparently Has Asked Ben Carson to Join His Cabinet as HUD Secretary, and Apparently Carson Has Accepted
The announcement didn’t come from Donald Trump nor from the Trump transition team, but from Armstrong Williams, Dr. Ben Carson’s on-again, off-again, on-again top advisor and spokesperson: The retired pediatric neurosurgeon has accepted the president-elect’s offer to become his nominee for Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Like most incoming presidents, Donald Trump has opted to show how he actually feels about the people he has chosen to work for him and for the citizens of this nation by leaking their names and letting them fend for themselves.Â
By contrast, here’s then-president-elect Barack Obama announcing, in person, and standing on the same stage wth, his nominees to become his first Secretary of State and Secretary of Defense.
Nevertheless, Donald Trump apparently has asked Ben Carson to join his cabinet as HUD Secretary, and apparently Carson has accepted.
Perhaps at some point Trump will actually tell the American people why all his White House picks are so “great,” and perhaps he’ll take the time to invest in them as President Obama did.
But for now, apparently, Carson will become the latest nominee who is wholly unqualified for the job he is about to be asked to perform.
