‘We Can Only See What Happens’: Even on Election Day Trump Suggests He May Not Accept Results of Election

Falsely Claims Obama Told ‘Illegals’ to ‘Go and Vote’

Donald Trump is still suggesting he may not accept the results of the presidential election if he doesn’t like the results. The GOP nominee Tuesday morning in interviews with two Florida AM radio hosts said he would contest the election “if I think there’s something that was wrong.” He then proceeded to discuss how he thinks the election is rigged, and repeated a false story about President Obama telling “illegals” to go vote.

“Well if I think there’s something that was wrong,” Trump said on WFLA in response to being asked if he’ll contest the race, CNN reports.

“So no, if I think everything’s on the up and up, that’s a lot different, and we can only see what happens, I hope it’s going to be very fair, I think we’re going to do very well.”

Trump then relayed what sounded like a Fox News story in which video was deceptively edited to make it sound like President Barack Obama was telling undocumented immigrants to go out and vote.

Later Trump spoke with WTVN, and echoed his previous remarks.

“I want to see what happens, you know, how it goes as per our previous little chat,” Trump said. “You know, you want to see. You hear so many horrible stories and you see so many things that are wrong. So we’ll take a look. Certainly I love this country and I believe in the system, you understand that.”

Trump infamously said at the final presidential debate last month that he would not say whether or not he was prepared to accept the results should he lose. His remarks were so stunning even conservatives called them disqualifying.
