‘Has the Character of God’: Donald Trump Voters Explain How They Overlook Their Candidate’s Flaws (Video)

One Wisconsin Woman Says the Women Who Accuse Trump of Sexual Assault ‘Need to Grow a Set’

Donald Trump supporters standing in line to see their candidate speak in Eau Claire, Wisconsin on Tuesday painted a picture of a man whose past has no bearing on their vote. Some chose to minimize his flaws, including the repeated, detailed, and disgusting allegations of sexual assault, and the “Access Hollywood” tape, blaming the media for exaggerating them. Others paint him as a man of and chosen by God.

“Donald Trump really has the character of God,” one woman told CNN, describing his character as “awesome, beautiful.” She likened him to a “loving, compassionate father,” and says he is “a man God chose for a time as this.”

Another claimed that those who oppose the GOP nominee “have no issues that they can win on, so all they can do is try and pick on Trump and his character.” She says of the “Access Hollywood” tape, “some of that the media has made it worse than what it is.” When reminded that Trump’s comments, such as talking about grabbing women “by the pussy” are on tape, she shook it off. “It doesn’t bother me.”

One woman wearing a star-spangled “Make America Great Again” cap says she’s “absolutely” not concerned about Trump’s character. “I think we’ve all fallen short of what God expects of all of us. We’ve all missed the mark.”

A man told CNN he knows Trump is “not perfect” but he says he’s “not looking for perfect,” he’s “looking for someone to save this country.”

Another man, when asked about hearing Trump talk about women, as he did on the “Access Hollywood” tape during which he described acts of sexual assault, said it does bother him, but it is not “a deal-breaker.” He says Trump is “better suited” to run the country because “it’s more of  business this country needs, rather than the corruption that Hillary represents.”

When asked about all the women, now a dozen, who have accused Trump of sexual assault, one woman told CNN she thinks they need to “get over it,” and says, “those women need to grow a set.”
