What Was This Senior Donald Trump Advisor Implying When He Sent This Tweet Attacking Megyn Kelly?
‘Watch What Happens to Her After This Election Is Over’
As you likely know by now, Megyn Kelly had a rather heated exchange Tuesday evening with one of Donald Trump’s few remaining surrogates, Newt Gingrich. The thrice-married disgraced former Speaker of the House and failed GOP presidential candidate accused the Fox News host of being “obsessed with sex” after she began a question by saying, “If Trump is a sexual predator.”Â
There were many more tense moments and strong words exchanged in the nearly eight minute interview, which ended with Kelly telling Gingrich he should go work on his anger issues.
Here’s how Trump senior advisor and – if you’re thinking of excusing this tweet – social media director Dan Scavino, Jr., responded:
.@MegynKelly made a total fool out of herself tonight- attacking @realDonaldTrump. Watch what happens to her after this election is over.
— Dan Scavino Jr. (@DanScavino) October 26, 2016
“Watch what happens to her after this election is over.”
Really?
Sure, maybe he’s talking about her ratings. But wouldn’t that possible ratings drop start immediately, not “after this election is over”?
For context, here’s the tweet he posted before the above:
.@NewtGingrich just destroyed @MegynKelly. Shows she is totally biased against Mr. Trump & not very smart. Mr. Trump has long known!!
— Dan Scavino Jr. (@DanScavino) October 26, 2016
MSNBC journalist Cal Perry suggested it was “intimidation” of the media:
Not covered an election here. But in the dozens of foreign elections I’ve worked (most in nasty places) – this would be media intimidation. https://t.co/9YLMr6vpkm

And here’s how others on Twitter responded:
DAN SCAVINO JR Just threatened Meghan Kelly on twitter.Just wait & see what’s going 2 happen 2 her after the election. @TheJusticeDept @FBI https://t.co/UNil4WxMM2

Then Scavino responds in tweets appearing to be threatening Megyn Kelly after the election. What is w/Trump’s campaign’s hatred for women?
