Trump to Evangelicals: If You Don’t Vote for Me Religious Liberty and Second Amendment Will Be Gone (Video)

‘Religion Is Under Tremendous Stress’

Donald Trump says if Evangelical Christians don’t vote for him they will lose religious liberty and the right to bear arms. The GOP nominee, struggling in the polls less than two weeks before Election Day, sat down for the ninth time this election season with Pat Robertson’s Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) reporter David Brody to spread his fear-mongering.

Claiming “religion is under tremendous stress,” Trump said, “if Hillary Clinton gets in you’re not going to have religious liberty, you’re not going to have [the] Second Amendment.” He also said the Johnson Amendment, which bans certain non-profits, like churches, from endorsing political candidates, would remain. Trump has promised faith leaders he will have it repealed.

“So, I don’t know, it’s just a very important thing,” Trump continued. He also claimed President Barack Obama has been “catastrophic for evangelicals”

“Well, we’re doing very well with evangelicals and if they vote, we’re going to win the election,” Trump told Brody.

Of course, neither Trump nor Clinton have the power to delete the First or Second Amendments.
