Michelle Obama traveled to North Carolina Thursday to campaign for Hillary Clinton, and the two appeared at a rally together for the first time. As the First Lady described the work the Democratic nominee has done, the large Winston-Salem crowd interrupted her with chants of “Hillary! Hillary! Hillary!”

“We have never had a more qualified and prepared candidate for president than our friend Hillary Clinton,†said the First Lady, adding, “Hillary doesn’t play.â€
“This is truly an unprecedented election, and that’s why I’m out here,†Obama added. “Someone we can trust with the nuclear codes, because we want to go to sleep at night knowing our kids and our country are safe.â€
