‘I Think the Brand Is Hotter Than It’s Ever Been, but It Doesn’t Matter to Me,’ Donald Trump Claims
Is the Trump brand doomed?
Trump Hotels, Trump Resorts, and Ivanka Trump’s fashion line may all be affected negatively by the racist, misogynistic, white nationalist embracing campaign Donald Trump has run for the past 16 months.
As ABC News notes, residents in one of Trump’s Manhattan apartment buildings are petitioning to have the Trump name removed from the building. Bookings at Trump hotels are way down, and so are prices.Â
But in a “Good Morning America” interview that aired Thursday morning, Eric Trump told ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos he thinks they have “the hottest brand in the world right now.”
Donald Trump, Jr., like his brother Eric and sister Ivanka, is a vice president of the Trump Organization. He agreed.
“I think the brand is much more than New York City,” Trump Jr. insisted. Defending the Trump brand, he calls it “global,” and said of his father, “When you look at the people he’s touching on a daily basis – he’s fixing America, it’s so much bigger than any of that.”
The Republican presidential candidate also agreed.
“I think the brand is hotter than it’s ever been, but it doesn’t matter to me,” Trump claimed. “I don’t care, it doesn’t matter. I don’t care about the brand, I care about the country.”
