Donald Trump said during Sunday’s debate if he’s elected president, he would hire a special prosecutor to investigate Hillary Clinton’s emails.
“I hate to say it, but if I win, I’m going to get my attorney general to get a special prosecutor to look into your situation, because there has never been so many lies, so much deception,” he said. “So we’re going to get a special prosecutor, and we’re going to look into it, because you know what, people have been, their lives have been destroyed for doing one-fifth of what you’ve done, and it’s a disgrace, and honestly, you ought to be ashamed.”Â
When Clinton responded by suggesting Trump’s threat was evidence he doesn’t have the temperament to be president, he said, “Because you’d be in jail.”Â
!!! Trump is telling Clinton to her face that he’s going to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate Clinton if he wins.

Trump is giving a window into how his presidency would work: He would use his authority to pursue and punish his political enemies.
