Trump To Attack Bill Clinton At Debate, But His Own Vulgar Remarks Will Be 1st Question

Donald Trump is signaling that he plans to bring up decades-old allegations against President Bill Clinton at Sunday night’s debate. But CNN reports that Trump’s own vile remarks in a newly unearthed video will be the topic of the first question — and it will go to Hillary Clinton.  

The second presidential debate, at Washington University in St. Louis, could garner record ratings amid fallout over the 2005 video in which Trump condoned adultery and sexual assault. In the wake of The Washington Post’s bombshell report about the video Friday, Trump has been tweeting and retweeting posts related to Juanita Broaddrick, who once accused Bill Clinton of sexual assault.

David Shuster, a former anchor for MSNBC and Al Jazeera America, said those dueling storylines will make Sunday’s debate “must watch, even to people who hate politics,” The Hill reports. 

“No TV drama or confrontation has ever gotten the kind of lead-in the debate received this weekend from the national discussion over Trump’s lewd language and the related reminders of Bill Clinton’s history of lewd action,” Shuster said.  

The town-hall style debate, which begins at 9 p.m. ET, will be moderated by CNN’s Anderson Cooper and ABC’s Martha Raddatz. Half of the questions will be posed by citizen participants who are undecided voters, with the other half coming from Cooper and Raddatz (you can submit and vote on topics here). 

The debate will air on most major TV networks (with the notable exception of NBC due to Sunday Night Football), but you can also watch it below.
