Ronald Reagan’s Conservative Son Says He’s ‘Embarrassed by Trump’ and ‘Nancy Would Vote for Hillary’
‘Nancy Would Vote for Hillary and Was Appalled to Hear People Say He Reminds Them’ of Ronald Reagan
The conservative son of former President Ronald Reagan says his late father would be “embarrassed” by Donald Trump, and his stepmother, Nancy Reagan, would vote for Hillary Clinton were she alive today.
Michael Reagan, who had previously endorsed Donald Trump before rescinding his endorsement a year ago in October, took to Twitter Monday night, not only saying he’s embarrassed by Trump, but also by Trump’s supporters who applauded the GOP nominee when he said he thinks Hillary Clinton has been cheating on her husband.
I am embarrassed by Trump and the applause he receives when infering she cheats on Bill..Not the Party of Reagan..Someone has to stand up https://t.co/ATYzc9HPj5

Ronald Reagan is, of course, the closest thing to the patron saint of the Republican Party. His son Michael back in June told CNN, “There’s nothing really Reaganesque” about Donald Trump. He also had stated were his father alive it would be the first time the former president “would not support the nominee of the GOP.”
No former president has endorsed Donald Trump. Former Republican President George H.W. Bush has stated publicly he will vote for Hillary Clinton. In July former Democratic President Jimmy Carter endorsed Hillary Clinton. President Barack Obama has endorsed Hillary Clinton. Former Republican President George W. Bush has not endorsed Clinton, but will not be endorsing Donald Trump. Former President Bill Clinton has, of course, endorsed Hillary Clinton.
