Naturally, Trump Plans To Blame A Mexican For Sexual Assault Allegations

GOP Nominee To Claim Billionaire Carlos Slim Is Behind NYT Report

If there are two things Donald Trump hates, it’s Mexicans and the media.

So it isn’t terribly surprising to learn that the GOP presidential nominee now plans to simultaneously blame both for allegations that he sexually assaulted at least two women.

According to a report in The Wall Street Journal, Trump plans to pin the allegations on Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim, who is a Clinton Foundation donor and the largest individual shareholder of The New York Times. Of course, Trump is also threatening to sue the NYT over its report detailing the allegations.

A spokesman for Slim, Arturo Elias, denied Trump’s claim.

“This is totally false,” Elias said. “Of course we aren’t interfering in the U.S. election. We aren’t even active in Mexican politics.”

NYT publisher Arthur Sulzberger Jr. called Slim “an excellent shareholder who fully respects boundaries regarding the independence of our journalism.”

“He has never sought to influence what we report,” Sulzberger said.

On Friday morning, GOP vice presidential nominee Mike Pence said evidence is forthcoming that will help Trump refute the sexual assault allegations — but it’s unclear whether he was referring to the Slim conspiracy theory.
