Listen: Phil Robertson Says Hillary Clinton Is ‘Living Proof’ Satan Is the ‘Father of Lies’

Robertson Lies to Call Clinton a Liar

Phil Robertson is calling Hillary Clinton a liar and claiming she’s “living proof” Satan is “the Father of Lies.” The Duck Dynasty patriarch who has endorsed Donald Trump is teaming up with the Republican nominee’s campaign chairman and former Breitbart publisher Steve Bannon, along with the group responsible for the flood of money into politics, Citizens United, to narrate a “Christian war film” written by Robertson’s nephew, called “Torchbearer.”

Sitting down for an interview with Trump chair Bannon, Robertson offers several lies to illustrate how, in his view, Hillary Clinton is a liar.

“Our founding fathers warned us repeatedly to never let this day come, but the day has now come upon us,” Robertson says, after claiming America is in need of a “spiritual fix,” as Right Wing Watch reports.

“I mean, think about it. The Democratic Party on [inaudible] when Barack Obama ran, they literally booed God out of the Democratic Party. I mean, not only ran Him out and took His name out of their platform, they booed Him out,” Robertson says, falsely.

To once again set the record straight, in 2012, the Democratic Party removed from its platform the phrase, “God-given potential,” as in:

“We need a government that…gives everyone willing to work hard the chance to make the most of their God-given potential.”

That’s it. That’s how Democrats, despite countless lies from the right, supposedly kicked God out of their party.

As for the “booed God” lie, at the same 2012 Democratic Convention, delegates were asked to vote to put the “God” portion back into the platform. Three times consecutively they, in a voice vote, said no. Convention chairman Antonio Villaraigosa falsely claimed they said “yes”:

“In the opinion of the chair, two-thirds have voted in the affirmative, the motion is adopted, and the platform has been amended.”

That’s when the booing happened – over his call, not over God.

Leave it to the liars on the right to falsely claim Democrats booed God out of their party.

Back to Robertson.

“So, you get what you ask for, so here we are. So the bottom line is, [when someone said they] entertain the thought of maybe voting for Hillary Clinton, I said, ‘They ran God out of the Democratic Party. She has a hard time telling the truth because the Evil One is the Father of Lies, according to Jesus, and she’s living proof of it, my man.'”

Or, maybe someone else is… So, who’s the liar, Phil?
