Suggests Most Voters Are Already Decided and Not Going to Change
Hillary Clinton has a six-point lead over Donald Trump according to a just-released NBC News/SurveyMonkey tracking poll. The poll shows FBI Director James Comey’s letter, released Friday afternoon, has not had any tangible effect on the race.
From Monday to Friday, Clinton was leading Trump 47-41 among likely voters. For just Saturday and Sunday the numbers remained the same: Clinton 47, Trump 41.
That said, 55 percent of those asked over the weekend said the new information about emails that may or may not be related to the Clinton case was “important to discuss,” while 44 percent called it a “distraction.”
