Iowa Voter Tells Pence Her Life Depends on Trump Winning, if He Doesn’t ‘I’m Ready for a Revolution’
Says Votes Need to Be Safeguarded From ‘Crooked Crooked Crooked’ Democratic PartyÂ
An Iowa voter Tuesday told vice presidential candidate Mike Pence she’s ready for a revolution if Hillary Clinton is not defeated in the November 8 election, because her life and the lives of others depend on Donald Trump winning the White House.Â
“I don’t want this to happen, but I will tell you for me personally, if Hillary Clinton gets in, I myself, I’m ready for a revolution because we can’t have her in,” the woman, who identified herself as Ronda, told the Indiana governor.
Ronda told Pence that a lot of people are scared of voter fraud, and so on Election Day they’re going to wear red. Trump has called for his supporters to do just that, and to monitor the elections, which, depending on how it’s done, could be illegal.
“Our lives depend on this election,” she continued, choked up. “Our kids’ futures depend on this election.” The audience applauded.
Unlike his running mate, Gov. Pence had the good sense to rebuff her remarks.
“No, don’t say that,†Pence gently chastised her call for a revolution. “There’s a revolution coming on November the 8th, I promise you,” he added, attempting to gain control of the situation.
“I’m just saying it. … You know, I’m like Trump,” Ronda, who says she spends her days on social media “nonstop, pushing Trump,” responded.
“What are we going to do to safeguard our votes?” she asked. “Because we see how the Democratic Party is, just crooked crooked crooked.”
Pence informed her that “elections are administered at the state level.” He could have made his point clear, saying that there’s no way the Democratic Party could steal the election because of that fact, but he instead pushed the voter fraud myth.
Trump has repeatedly claimed the election will be rigged, especially if he doesn’t win. Many Trump supporters think the polls right now are tied, even though Clinton has a double-digit lead on the Republican nominee.
