FBI Director’s Political Hackery Should Cost Him His Job – Here’s What Just Happened

For Politicizing His Investigation, Several Times Now, James Comey Should Be Fired

FBI Director James Comey has again politicized his investigation into Hillary Clinton’s emails. You’ll remember that in his 17-minute speech explaining the Bureau’s decision to recommend to the Dept. of Justice that Clinton not be charged he handed the GOP tons of soundbites to make it seem like Clinton was a criminal. That speech was extraordinary, in that the FBI does not usually explain in press conferences its recommendations to the DOJ.

Now, eleven days before a national, presidential election, Director Comey again has engaged in partisan politics. He announced the FBI is continuing its investigation into Clinton’s emails, based on new information discovered.

He sent a carefully-worded letter not to the Dept. of Justice – which is his boss – and not to Hillary Clinton, but to the very people who want Clinton indicted and had literally just said they will spend her presidency investigating her: the Republican Chairman of the House Oversight Committee, Rep. Jason Chaffetz.

The letter itself, if read carefully, offers little information but sounds like an indictment.

It is not.

It says the FBI has come across some information it supposedly did not have earlier, apparently emails, and will look into them. Period.

NBC News’ Pete Williams just reported that according to his sources what the FBI has is a new device, which could mean a cell phone or hard drive, or anything that holds emails. In his judgment the handful of new emails could not possibly change the FBI’s first decision to not recommend prosecution to the DOJ.

Williams says that one FBI source told him, “I don’t sense alarm bells going on within the FBI and the Justice Dept.”

Williams has more information than any other reporter. And he says the emails the FBI has are not from Hillary Clinton. It also supposedly has nothing to do with Wikileaks.

Watch:

But what this does is hands Donald Trump and the GOP the ability to call Clinton a “criminal” once again, and to sow doubt in the minds of voters.

All thanks to the political machinations of James Comey.

And for politicizing his investigation, several times now, he should be fired.
