Donald Trump Stiffs Campaign Pollster More Than $750,000

Many Say Trump Doesn’t Pay His Bills

Donald Trump is refusing to pay veteran pollster and GOP strategist more than three-quarters of a million dollars. In May the GOP candidate hired Tony Fabrizio, known as the mastermind behind Florida Republican Gov. Rick Scott’s successful re-election campaign.

The Trump campaign’s latest Federal Election Commission report shows that it is disputing nearly $767,000 that Fabrizio’s firm says it is still owed for polling,” The Washington Post has just reported.

Trump senior communications adviser Jason Miller is calling it “an administrative issue that we’re resolving internally.”

The Post notes that “the campaign did not make any payments to Fabrizio until September when his firm received nearly $624,000, federal filings show,” even though he was retained four months earlier. “Trump’s finance reports show that the campaign owes the firm an additional $55,300 on top of the $766,756.67 in debt that it is contesting.”

Trump and his various businesses have a reputation for not paying small business owners. Last month the owner of small piano store penned a Washington Post op-ed explaining how Trump stiffed him in the sale of $100,000 worth of pianos.

And in June USA Today published a bombshell report: “Hundreds allege Donald Trump doesn’t pay his bills.” It alleges Trump “has been involved in more than 3,500 lawsuits over the past three decades — and a large number of those involve ordinary Americans … who say Trump or his companies have refused to pay them.”
