Clinton Up 8 Points Over Trump in Latest North Carolina Poll

Clinton Makes Six-Point Jump Since September

Hillary Clinton is beating Donald Trump by 8 points among likely voters in the battleground state of North Carolina, the latest Siena College/New York Times Upshot poll finds. North Carolina is a toss up state, with the RealClearPolitics polling average coming in with Hillary Clinton up by 2.1 points.

The poll was conducted in the four days after the final presidential debate, which Clinton won.

“Clinton’s results have improved significantly in North Carolina since Siena/NYT Upshot last polled the state mid-September,” Talking Points Memo notes. “She went from +2 in September to +8 now in a head-to-head match, and in a race including third-party candidates, the former Secretary of State went from tied with Trump in September to +7 today.”
