WATCH: Joss Whedon and ‘A Sh*t Ton’ of Celebrities Join to Urge Americans to Register to Vote

‘Lots and Lots of Famous People. A Shit Ton of Famous People. Repeating How Important It Is’ to Vote

Writer and director Joss Whedon (The Avengers) got a few friends together – about two dozen, it seems, and made a video urging Americans to register to vote, and then to go vote. It’s very well done, amusing at times, heartwarming at times, but bottom line, it’s effective.

And if it works, Mark Ruffalo will do a nude scene. Apparently.

Who’s in it?

Robert Downey Jr.

Mark Ruffalo

Scarlett Johansson

Neil Patrick Harris

Jesse Williams

Julianne Moore

Nathan Fillion

Don Cheadle

Taran Killam

Cobie Smulders

Martin Sheen

Keegan-Michael Key

James Franco

Julianne Moore

Leslie Odom

Neil Patrick Harris

and more.

Julianne Moore explains the video has “Lots of famous people. Lots of famous people. Lots and lots of famous people. A shit ton of famous people. Repeating how important it is” to vote.

Wisdom in the get out the vote ad for Whedon’s Save the Day organization comes from Sheen, who played President Bartlet in “The West Wing.”

“We cannot pretend both sides are equally unfavorable,” Sheen reminds us.

And Don Cheadle, who, without mentioning Trump, calls him a “racist, abusive coward who could permanently damage the fabric of our society.”

Then visit Whedon’s Save the Day. Register. And vote.
