President George H.W. Bush Reportedly Will Vote for Hillary Clinton

Former President George H.W. Bush is voting for Hillary Clinton. So says a friend of the family with a presidential name herself. Former Maryland Lt. Governor Kathleen Hartington Kennedy Townsend on Facebook Monday evening posted a photo of herself with the 92-year old former Commander in Chief, writing, “The President told me he’s voting for Hillary!!â€
Kathleen Hartington Kennedy Townsend, a Democrat, is the daughter of the late Robert F. Kennedy and niece of the late President John F. Kennedy.
Politico first reported the news. The Bush family, whose opposition to Republican presidential nominee is unsurprising, would not comment.
“The vote President Bush will cast as a private citizen in some 50 days will be just that: a private vote cast in some 50 days,” George H.W. Bush spokesman Jim McGrath told Politico. “He is not commenting on the presidential race in the interim.”
President George H.W. Bush has been known to buck the Republican line. Several years ago he served as witness during the wedding of a same-sex couple.
