Now Trump Has Released His Medical ‘Records’ on the ‘Dr. Oz’ Show’ – Except Not Really

And Guess Who His Doctor Is?

Barely more than 12 hours after Donald Trump introduced a family medical leave and child care plan that is sorely deficient, the Republican candidate for president demonstrated just how much he thinks of health care. On Wednesday and earlier, his campaign had said Trump would release his full medical records during an interview on the “Dr. Oz” show. Thursday morning, the Trump campaign announced Trump would not disclose his medical records on the “Dr. Oz” show, with his campaign manager Kellyanne Conway even stating that the examination results were not available yet.

“Mr. Trump has said that he had a physical late last week, before, let me make clear, before Hillary Clinton was diagnosed with the pneumonia, certainly long before we knew she was diagnosed with pneumonia before she stumbled outside Ground Zero, and he will release it this week,” Conway said Wednesday morning on Fox News. “In other words, when he gets the result from his doctor.”

And yet, Wednesday morning, Trump was taping his interview Dr. Oz, apparently, as has just been revealed, discussing the results of his physical late last week.

By the way, who performed that physical examination?

Dr. Harold Bornstein, the same gastroenterologist who declared in writing that Trump would be “the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency.”

Trump, during the taping Wednesday morning, “handed Dr. Oz a one-page summary of the physical exam he underwent last week,” CNN Money reports.

Let’s repeat that: “a one-page summary of the physical exam.”

In a press release, the “Dr. Oz” show announced “Donald Trump releases medical records for the first time on the Dr. Oz Show, detailing the results of his most recent physical examination.”

That doesn’t meet the standard of medical records releases the vast majority of presidential candidates for decades have observed. Not even close. Medical records detail a candidate’s life-long, or at least adult medical history, and often family history.

Trump says he will release more information from his physical exam on Thursday.

Treating the entire event like a reality TV show.

Dr. Oz was only happy to play along, tweeting a photo with the hashtag #OzPresidentialHealth.

There’s nothing presidential about any of this.
