Mattress Store’s 9/11 ‘Twin Towers Sale’ Ad Has Many Furious (Video)

‘We’ll Never Forget’

Miracle Mattress decided that 15 years was long enough, so they produced an ad for a “Twin Towers Sale” that has many furious.

The San Antonio, Texas mattress store’s ad shows its product piled high to mimic the World Trade Center, then at the end two men fall into the “towers.”

“What better way to remember 9/11 than a Twin Towers sale?,” store manager Cherise Bonanno asks.

By the end of the 20-second spot, which the store has since removed from its Facebook page, Bonanno waves her arms and her two employees fall into the mattresses.

“We’ll never forget,” she says at the end.

Her customers may have a similar response.

After the outrage, which has gone national, the store posted an apology on Facebook, that also was not well-received. It was removed, and this left in its place:

Later, the company’s owner posted a letter of apology:

UPDATE:
Miracle Mattress removed this from their Facebook page, substituting the above message that points to the owner’s letter:

“To all of those who have seen our 9/11 sale. We are very sorry we have offended you. Our intentions were not to hurt anyone at all. Our staff is full of military and some relatives have passed away due to 9/11. We are promoters of peace and love. We have given abundantly to our community here in San Antonio and wish to remain known as a company who respects and loves others. We hope you find it in your hearts to forgive us. Please accept our apology.”
