‘He Has No Weapon – Don’t Shoot Him’: Video of Charlotte Police Shooting Death of Keith Lamont Scott
NBC News Posts Disturbing Video
Caution: Disturbing Video
NBC News has just posted and broadcasted video taken by the wife of Keith Lamont Scott, the 43-year old Black man shot and killed by a Charlotte police officer. Scott was the father of seven, and as has now been reported, had a traumatic brain injury.
In the disturbing video (above) Scott’s wife says, “Don’t shoot him, don’t shoot him,” and, “He has no weapon — don’t shoot him!”
The video does not show a gun, which police maintain he had, but on air MSNBC notes that does not mean there was or was not one. Scott’s family says it was a book, not a gun.
Shortly after, Scott’s wife says, “He better not be f—ing dead, he better not be f—ing dead.”
And then, “He better live, he better live!”
