Breaking: Trump Says Obama Born in America and Lies About Clinton Starting Birther Movement
Trump Was the Leader of the Birther Movement. He Still Is.
Donald Trump Friday morning told America what America already knows: President Barack Obama is a U.S. citizen born in America. Â Trump, a leader of the birther movement, made his remarks from his brand new Washington, D.C. hotel.Â

The Trump campaign issued a statement Thursday night falsely claiming he was responsible for ending the questions about President Obama’s place of birth in 2011, yet as recently as January of this year Donald Trump publicly said he does not know if President Obama was born in the U.S. At least seven other times since 2012, Donald Trump also publicly either directly stated or made remarks that clearly show he has been advocating a birther agenda.

The entire event lasted 29 minutes. 28 and a half essentially was ad for his campaign and for his hotel.
It ended with this:
“Hillary Clinton and her campaign of 2008 started the birther controversy. I finished it. President Barack Obama was born in the United States. Period.”
That is a lie, proven false repeatedly.
Trump was the leader of the birther movement. He still is.

Trump did not apologize to President Obama, or to the African American community, for his many years of birther racism.
He did not take questions.
He did not state when he came to the “conclusion” that President Obama is an American citizen born in the U.S.
