Even Trump’s Running Mate Knows His Lies Are Laughable
Late last week Donald Trump told several audiences that in 2020 he’ll be re-elected and will win 95 percent of African-Americans – a stunning promise to make when currently Trump has just one percent of the Black vote.
Vice presidential candidate Mike Pence was asked about his boss’ ludicrous claim Monday morning on Fox News.
He laughed.
“Well, that’s Donald Trump,†Pence responded upon hearing Trump make that promise. But he did manager to come to Trump’s aid, telling Fox News’ Ainsley Earhardt that Trump, “has a heart for every American and he also, he’s a truth-teller. He speaks the truth.”
Trump had said, “at the end of four years, I guarantee you that I will get over 95 percent of the African-American vote. I promise you. Because I will produce.”
