Watch Live Now: President Obama Tours Flood-Damaged Louisiana, Speaks to Press (Video)

Live Video Plus 1:55 PM Press Conference

President Barack Obama is visiting flood-ravaged areas of Louisiana today, after massive rains have damaged 60,000 homes, killed more than a dozen people, and displaced thousands.

You can watch via local news station WAFB.

NBC News, and local stations WTOL and WDSU also have live streams.

At around 1:55 PM EDT, President Obama will hold a press event, but it may be delayed. You can watch that live below.

The President was attacked by one local newspaper in Louisiana, The Advocate, for not coming to tour the area last week during his vacation. Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards had said it would be better for first responders and those still in need of assistance for the President to wait a week or two. Last week Donald Trump went to Louisiana, and also slammed the president for not visiting, despite the governor’s comments.

Also despite the governor’s request for Trump to not come for a photo-op, his visit was exactly that. He was filmed taking boxes off a truck, which reporters state lasted all of 49 seconds.

Here’s live video of the President’s press event, slated to begin at 1:55 PM EDT:
