Watch Live: In Historic Speech Hillary Clinton Will Slam Trump for ‘Taking Hate Groups Mainstream’

Donald Trump Is ‘Taking Hate Groups Mainstream and Helping a Radical Fringe Take Over One of America’s Two Major Political Parties’ Clinton Will Say

At 3:00 PM EDT Thursday Hillary Clinton will deliver a historic speech in which she will tell American voters Donald Trump “has built his campaign on prejudice and paranoia,” and will accuse the Republican presidential nominee of “taking hate groups mainstream and helping a radical fringe take over one of America’s two major political parties.”

“His disregard for the values that make our country great is profoundly dangerous,” Clinton is expected to say, according to prepared remarks shared with The New Civil Rights Movement.

“A man with a long history of racial discrimination, who traffics in dark conspiracy theories drawn from the pages of supermarket tabloids and the far reaches of the internet, should never run our government or command our military,” Clinton will tell supporters in Reno, Nevada. “If he doesn’t respect all Americans, how can he serve all Americans?,” she will ask.

Clinton’s speech comes just 75 days before election day, and less than two months before early voting begins in some states. They are in response to Trump’s attacks Wednesday, calling the former Secretary of State “a bigot who sees people of color only as votes, not as human beings worthy of a better future.”

They also come as Trump tries to increase his share of non-white voters. A new Quinnipiac poll today shows Clinton trouncing Trump with non-white voters 77% to 15%.
