Megyn Kelly Interviews Assange – Asks Only About ‘The Additional Information You Have Regarding Hillary Clinton’

The day after a blistering Associated Press report detailing Wikileaks dumps included personal information of hundreds of people, including the outing of gay men, some who were victims of brutal and violent rapes, Fox News interviewed the organization’s founder, positioning him as a hero who will take down Hillary Clinton. Even Fox News published the AP’s story on Assange’s immoral release of personal information, but Wednesday night Fox News host Megyn Kelly did not once refer to that report.

Kelly introduced Assange as being in an “undisclosed location,” which is false. Assange is wanted for extradition by Sweden on charges of rape and sexual molestation, and the U.S. government wants him for massive data leaks. He is living in the Embassy of Ecuador, which granted him asylum, in London. Kelly did not mention any of these details.

Kelly also allowed Assange to claim he has a “perfect 10-year record,” wholly ignoring the AP report that included revelations like “cables published by the WikiLeaks identified domestic workers who’d been tortured or sexually abused by their employers, giving the women’s full names and passport numbers. One cable named a male teenager who was raped by a man while abroad; a second identified another male teenager who was so violently raped his legs were broken; a third outlined the details of a Saudi man detained for ‘sexual deviation’ — a derogatory term for homosexuality.”

Kelly instead, began the interview by asking about “the additional information you have regarding Hillary Clinton. When can we expect this information?,” she wanted to know. Assange stalled, explaining that his process is very “complex.”

Assange answered only one question directly.

“Give us a general sense,” Kelly prodded, asking if he will release the information on Clinton “before the November 8 election?”

“Yes, absolutely,” Assange responded.

Asked what the actual information is, Assange again stalled.

“I don’t want to give the game away, but it’s a variety of documents, from different types of institutions that are associated with the election campaign, some quite unexpected angles, some quite interesting, some even entertaining,” he promised.

After acknowledging that Clinton is leading Trump in the polls, Kelly asked, “Do you believe the information in your possession could be a game changer in the U.S. election?”

“I think it’s significant,” Assange replied. “You know, it depends on how it catches fire in the public and in the media.”
