Maine Gov. Paul LePage Says He’ll Consider Resigning in Wake of ‘C*cksucker’ Rant

Trump Supporter Says He’s ‘Looking at All Options,’ May Not Finish 2nd Term

Embattled Maine tea party Gov. Paul LePage said Tuesday he may resign instead of finishing his second term.

LePage, a Donald Trump supporter, also apologized for a voicemail in which he called Democratic state Rep. Drew Gattine a “c*cksucker” and threatened violence against him.

“I’m looking at all options,” LePage told WVOM, a Bangor talk radio station. “I think some things I’ve been asked to do are beyond my ability. I’m not going to say that I’m not going to finish it. I’m not saying that I am going to finish it.”

LePage came unhinged in response to reports — which Gattine denies — that the lawmaker called the governor racist for claiming that black and Hispanic people are responsible for 90 percent of the state’s drug arrests.

“If I’ve lost my ability to help Maine people, maybe it’s time to move on,” LePage said. “When I was called a racist I just lost it, and there’s no excuse. It’s unacceptable. It’s totally my fault.”
