Trump’s Top Supporter and Operative Hangs With Longtime Pal, a US Businesswoman Dating Russian PresidentÂ
Ivanka Trump and Wendi Deng Murdoch are vacationing together in Croatia. The top Trump campaign aide and daughter to GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump, who relies heavily on her counsel, is sightseeing with the American businesswoman, an ex-wife of 21st Century Fox Executive Co-Chairman and CEO of Fox News Rupert Murdoch. Deng Murdoch is reportedly dating Russian President Vladimir Putin.
PEOPLE magazine on Sunday reports Ivanka Trump (photo, right) and Wendi Deng Murdoch (photo, left) are long-time friends, and “Deng Murdoch was actually responsible for setting up Trump and Kushner,” Trump’s husband.
“Everything she has is available to her friends, which, believe me, is not common,” Trump told Vogue earlier this summer of her friend. “There’s nothing that doesn’t interest her, and she can hit five topics in a 35-second conversation. It’s really a whirlwind with Wendi. I can’t recall the last time I had a conversation with her that didn’t conclude with her connecting me to four people who might become great friends or great business opportunities.”
Gawker notes the “timing of the women’s meeting is notable because Trump’s father, the Republican nominee for president, has courted Putin’s affections and expressed his admiration for the Russian autocrat. Numerous advisers to his campaign have ties to Russia, and speculation abounds that Trump’s unreleased tax returns would reveal heavy debts owed to Russian business interests.”
Trump’ campaign manager Paul Manafort is the subject of a New York Times article Sunday that states he may have received 22 secret cash payments totaling $12.7 million from the political party in the Ukraine that was headed by a dictator with strong ties to Vladimir Putin.
