One Democratic analyst called Donald Trump a “psychopath” on Sunday, while a Republican commentator said he’s “unfit to be human.”
Their remarks came a day after Trump attempted to exploit yet another tragedy to his own political advantage — the murder of NBA star Dwyane Wade’s cousin.Â
Appearing on Meet the Press, former Obama aide David Plouffe said Trump’s plan to appeal to the middle of the electorate isn’t going to work.Â
“I mean, basically you have a psychopath running for president, †Plouffe said. “He’s the clinical definition, by the way.â€
Host Chuck Tood interuppted and suggested it was unfair to diagnose Trump as a psycophath given that Plouffe doesn’t have a degree in psychology.Â
“Well, listen. Grandiose notion of self worth, pathological lying, lack of empathy and remorse,†Plouffe said. “I think he does [have the traits], although I don’t have a degree.â€
Meanwhile, appearing on This Week, former Jeb Bush aide Ana Navarro said Trump is not just unfit to be president.Â
“He’s unfit to be human,” Navarro said. “Was he raised by wolves? Who has that as a first reaction upon somebody’s death?”
