Breaking: Iconic Actor Gene Wilder Dies at 83

Beloved Actor Best-Known For ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,’ ‘Young Frankenstein’

Gene Wilder has passed away, reportedly of complications from Alzheimer’s. He was 83.

Wilder was an iconic and beloved actor, whose roles in 1967’s “The Producers,” 1971’s “Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory,” 1974’s “Blazing Saddles,” and “Young Frankenstein” earned him a place in America’s heart.

The Boston Globe notes Wilder died “late Sunday in Stamford, Connecticut,” where he had lived for many years.
