Trump Aide: I ‘Lifted’ the ‘Sheriff’s Badge’ Meme From an ‘Anti-Hillary Twitter User’
That ‘Anti-Hillary Twitter User’ Just Happens to Post Anti-Semitic and White Supremacist Tweets
The nation is still incensed over Donald Trump posting to Twitter an anti-Semitic meme attacking Hillary Clinton Saturday morning. The image shows a photo of the former Secretary of State surrounded by a bed of $100 bills, next to the Star of David, with the words, “History Made. Most corrupt candidate ever!”
In trying to tamp down some of the backlash, which is coming from both the left and the right, Trump’s social media director (who knew he had one) issued a statement Monday night in which he admits he “lifted” the image from someone else.
“The social media graphic used this weekend was not created by the campaign nor was it sourced from an anti-Semitic site,” Trump Campaign Social Media Director Dan Scavino said in a statement responding to news that the image originated on a neo-Nazi and white supremacist message board. “It was lifted from an anti-Hillary Twitter user where countless images appear.”

That anti-Hillary Twitter user, as Mic News first reported, “regularly tweets violent, racist memes commenting on the state of geopolitical politics,” and “anti-Semitic images.” The Twitter account, FishBoneHead1, no longer exists.
Scavino goes on to call the Star of David, also known as the Jewish Star, a “sheriff’s badge,” even though most sheriff badges are five-pointed, not six, adding it “fit with the theme of corrupt Hillary and that is why I selected it.”
“As the Social Media Director for the campaign, I would never offend anyone and therefore chose to remove the image.”
Scavino on Twitter goes on to add:
For the MSM to suggest that I am antisemite is AWFUL. I proudly celebrate holidays w/ my wife’s amazing Jewish family for the past 16 years.

So, he likely is very familiar with the Star of David.
