Supreme Court Justice Had Denounced a Trump Presidency
Donald Trump has renewed his attack against Ruth Bader Ginsburg, after the Supreme Court Justice had said it would be “time for us to move to New Zealand” if the brash billionaire became president. Trump took to Twitter after midnight to call for her resignation, and said of the very active 83-year old who has successfully battled cancer twice, “her mind is shot.”
“Justice Ginsburg of the U.S. Supreme Court has embarrassed all by making very dumb political statements about me. Her mind is shot – resign!,” he tweeted.
On Monday Trump had told The New York Times Justice Ginsburg’s comment “only energizes my base even more. And I would hope that she would get off the court as soon as possible.â€
Ginsburg, also in an interview with the Times, had said, “I can’t imagine what this place would be — I can’t imagine what the country would be — with Donald Trump as our president.â€
“‘Now it’s time for us to move to New Zealand,’†Justice Ginsburg had said, quoting her late husband.
She later told CNN Trump is a “faker.”
“He has no consistency about him. He says whatever comes into his head at the moment. He really has an ego,” she said. “How has he gotten away with not turning over his tax returns? The press seems to be very gentle with him on that.”
