Indiana Gov. Mike Pence Traveling to Meet With Donald Trump – VP Speculation Erupts
Virulently Anti-LGBT Republican Would Give Trump Cover With Religious Right
Mike Pence is on his way right now to meet with Donald Trump, presumably to discuss becoming the billionaire businessman’s vice presidential running mate. Pence, a far-right wing conservative Republican is running for re-election after a disastrous first term s Indiana’s governor.Â
But Pence is the perfect choice for Trump. He was a Republican U.S. Congressman who also served in GOP leadership as Chairman of the House Republican Conference. A 57-year old evangelical Christian, Pence became a national figure in early 2015 when he signed into law an extremely anti-gay bill that gave people and corporations the right to discriminate under the guise of “religious freedom.”
Pence is closely tied to the religious right, a voting bloc with which Donald Trump continues to struggle.

I don’t see how Gingrich or Christie wins Trump votes. I see how Pence helps win more social conservatives. If the race is close that’s big.
