Donald Trump and Mike Pence Did an Interview With ’60 Minutes’ and It’s Being Mocked as a Disaster
Donald Trump and Mike Pence Bombed and Twitter Is Making Sure Everyone Knows
Donald Trump and Mike Pence gave their first joint interview to CBS News’ “60 Minutes.” It was a disaster.
The 20 or so minutes broadcast Sunday night is online, but here’s a short clip of some of the “best parts.”
One of the strangest things about the interview was the surroundings – Donald Trump’s three-story Trump Tower apartment in NYC – which Twitter had no problem “identifying.”
Is @LesleyRStahl going to ask how @realDonaldTrump found Saddam Hussein’s interior decorator? #60Minutes pic.twitter.com/T5IN9c9RTa

Then there was Trump’s explanation why it was OK for then-Congressman Mike Pence to have voted for the Iraq War:
Sorry, what?! RT @60Minutes: Trump tells #60Minutes he’s OK with Pence’s vote for the Iraq war, but not Clinton’s pic.twitter.com/FnH5barFDC

1. Trump incorrectly says he was against Iraq from start. 2. Says Pence entitled to mistake. 3. Says Clinton is not. pic.twitter.com/JT6TN0zSsQ

Or, Trump’s response when Leslie Stahl asked him about his lack of humility:

Nothing says “humble” & “in-touch” like old, white men in suits sitting on elaborate gold thrones in 2016 #60Minutes pic.twitter.com/DEyu4SVOm2

Trump repeatedly refused to let Pence answer questions, even this one:
“‘What kind of vice president are you going to be?’ … Trump was the first to answer.â€https://t.co/39yS3MvRe7

And this tweet, which seems to perfectly summarize the entire interview:

A few more responses via Twitter:
Trump rambles incoherently for 90 seconds, Pence jumps in “This is the kind of leadership America needs.â€
Literally. WTF.#60Minutes

A #TrumpPence #60Minutes interview makes a Sarah Palin interview seem like talk with a Mensa scholar.

The @60Minutes #TrumpPence interview was an unmitigated disaster. A vomit inducing clusterf*ck by even lowly Trump standards. #60Minutes
