Caitlyn Jenner Tells GOP ‘It Was Easy to Come Out as Trans, Harder to Come Out as a Republican’
Jenner Speaks at Conservative Pro-LGBT BrunchÂ
Conservatives have descended upon Cleveland, Ohio for the 2016 Republican National Convention, and among them, Caitlyn Jenner. Speaking at a brunch hosted by the conservative pro-LGBT group American Unity Fund, Jenner told her fellow Republicans that the GOP “needs to know people who are trans.”

But perhaps stunningly, Jenner also told her fellow Republicans, “It was easy to come out as trans, it was harder to come out as a Republican.”
