After Clinton on Saturday released an expanded platform that calls for “universal, quality, affordable health care to everyone in America,” Sen. Sanders praised her actions on a press call, The Hill reports.
“I congratulate Secretary Clinton for this extraordinary initiative,†Sanders said. “It will save lives, ease suffering and it will improve healthcare in America and it will cut healthcare costs. It is a significant step forward as we advance toward the goal of healthcare for all Americans.â€Â
The Vermont Senator also posted this statement to Twitter:
Today’s proposal by @HillaryClinton is an important step toward expanding health insurance and health care access to millions of Americans.
