Anti-Gay GOP State Senator Under Fire Over Alleged Sex Video on His Gov’t Computer – Starring Him

Misogynistic Christian Warrior Urged to Resign by Governor if Allegations True

Nebraska State Senator Bill Kintner is being urged by Governor Pete Ricketts, a fellow Republican, to resign if allegations a sexually explicit video of him found on his government computer are true. Kintner, one of the longest-serving members of the Nebraska legislature, is married to Ricketts’ chief policy advisor. 

Ironically, the investigation began a year ago, after Kinter notified the Nebraska State Patrol “about ‘what he believed to be a potential internet scam that occurred while the senator was in Massachusetts using his state computer,’ the patrol confirmed Friday,” the Lincoln Journal Star reports.

“If the allegations are true,” Gov. Ricketts said in a statement, “Senator Kintner needs to resign.”

Kintner, known for his offensive comments about women, minorities, and the poor, has even compared his fellow senators to monkeys. Last year he offered these remarks about LGBT people:

“If you’re a Christian, they’re coming after you,” Sen. Kintner told his colleagues. “So I think it’s very important to remember that whenever they talk about protecting a class, it’s not just a shield, it’s a sword. And they are going to come after you if you’re a Christian. It something that this body, we need to guard the rights of everyone. That includes Christians.”

The Lincoln Journal Star also notes another Nebraska state senator contacted the State Patrol “after a woman offered to sell what she called a sexually explicit video of Kintner.”

While it is illegal for Nebraska state senators to use their government computers for any non-essential personal reasons, the contents of the alleged sex video is the greater issue for Nebraska voters.

Earlier this year, Kintner invited LGBT people who wanted equality to exit the state, in comments surrounding an LGBT nondiscrimination bill.

“When I go to San Francisco, sometimes I’ve seen some pretty weird things there,” Kintner told his colleagues. “And I’m not that comfortable in San Francisco. But you know the difference between conservatives and my friends on the left? When I’m not comfortable someplace I leave. I go somewhere I am comfortable, I move to the state I am comfortable, I like it.” 

Kintner says he applies “the moral absolutes of Christianity” to everything he does. He admitted to the Journal Star his “calling was to make money.” He also offered this remark:

“Biggest mystery? Women. No one understands them. They don’t even understand themselves. Books and books and books have been written about it, and no one understands it.”
