2 Dead, at Least 14 Wounded in Florida Nightclub Shooting – Youngest Victim 12 Years Old

Three Possible Suspects in Custody

A shooting at around 12:30 AM in the parking lot of a Ft. Myers, Florida nightclub has left two people dead and at least 14 others injured. The victims range in age from 12-27. Three possible suspects are in custody. Both of those killed were male.

The shooting took place at a teen night event at Club Blu, and NBC News reports the attack does not appear to be terrorism.

The gunfire rang out just as family members were picking up their kids from Club Blu in Fort Myers, where the ‘no ID required’ party had just finished,” NBC News reports.

Statement from Club Blu via Facebook:

As many have noted the shooting comes six weeks after the nation’s deadliest hate crime and modern day mass shooting, and the deadliest terror attack since 9/11, at another Florida nightclub, Pulse, in Orlando. 49 people there died, and another 53 were injured.
