Texas Radio Host Says Pulse Orlando Is ‘Hook Up Bar’ Where Terror Victims Were ‘Spreading STDs’

Wade Wilkes of KRFE AM580 in Lubbock Also Claims Victims Were ‘Getting Lit’ on ‘Illegal Drugs’

An anti-LGBT Texas radio host says the victims of Sunday’s terror attack in Orlando were “spreading STDs” and “using illegal drugs” prior to the shooting that left 49 people dead.

Wade Wilkes, owner and host of Lubbock’s KRFE AM580, made the highly-offensive comments in response to President Barack Obama’s Sunday remarks about the incident, in which Obama said: “The place where they were attacked is more than a nightclub, it is a place of solidarity and empowerment where people have come together to raise awareness, to speak their minds and to advocate for their civil rights.”

Wilkes, a retired Army reservist, has since deleted his Facebook post, but not before we managed to get a screen grab:

“Really, the PULSE bar??” Wilkes wrote. “Hello goofy Obama, it’s a hook up bar. No one was ‘sharing’ ideas or talking about ‘civil rights.’ They were getting lit, using illegal drugs and spreading STDs.”

The Express-News of San Antino reports that while some commenters supported Wilkes’ post, he was challenged by others who prompted another Facebook response.

“That was just a dumb response from President,” Wilkes wrote. “I agree with the loss of life but do not say they ‘were just sharing ideas and conversing about civil rights.’ That’s just politicizing this horrible deal. Obama is a horrible person.”

Wilkes, an apparent Trump supporter, wrote earlier Sunday — in a post that remains on his timeline – that the terror attack poses “a conundrum” to Democrats.

“When they are Cheerleaders for Islamists, Open Borders, Muslim Refugees, Illegal Aliens, aggressively promote LGBTQ as a civil right, dislike the police but love big government social programs, then they have to spin this mass shooting to having access to guns AND Trumps ‘hateful’ rhetoric on all of the above,” he wrote. “Will YOU buy that explanation from the left over the course of this Presidential election??

And on Monday night, Wilkes shared an item from “Tactical Shit” that appears to suggest, as Trump did earlier in the day, that the attack was some sort of government conspiracy.

“Keep asking questions,” the post states, next to a screen grab of the below commentary questioning how the gunman was able to kill so many people alone. “Maybe someone will tell the truth.”
